Turkey, officially the Republic of Türkiye, is mainly a part of mainly of Western Asia, with a small portion in Southeast Europe. Because of its large population of students and citizens from many different countries, Turkey is one of the best places in the world to experience cultural diversity. One of the main reasons foreign students choose Turkey as their study destination is exposure to different cultures and the education system in Turkey. The Turkish educational system is divided into four basic levels: pre-primary, primary, secondary, and post-secondary education. The education system in Turkey has compulsory education for twelve years. Firstly, four years each of primary school, secondly, middle school, and high school, and lastly, comes higher education which includes which means that a child must start school at the age of six. History of Education in Turkey The history of the Education system in Turkey is diverse and has a long history. Over time it has flourish and seen improvements immensely. Due to the lack of enough universities compared to the demand, Bangladeshi students are becoming diversified from taking higher education in their own mother country. Malaysia has been able to prove the development of its whole education system. Its higher education is now in the cockpit to lead higher education in the Southeast Asian region. With the same education cost as Bangladeshi private universities, its universities have been providing world-class higher education the same as the UK, Australia, and Canada. Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) is one of the most popular private research-intensive universities in Malaysia. UTAR, recognized as Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation, is firmly intended to facilitate students with knowledge and skills to meet Malaysia’s digital economy demands. This university was established in 2002 under the Malaysian Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996. This university consists of 2 beautiful campuses, one is Kampar Main Campus with a 1,300-acre total area entitled it one of the largest private universities in Malaysia, the one is Sungai Long Campus. Available Programs and Courses Though this university at the beginning started with just eight honour degree programmes , it is now serving about 110 programmes to students. These programmes are approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). The main reason behind the success of this university is they arrange these programmes by collaborating with industrial experts. These programmes are section into: Foundation programme Undergraduate programme Undergraduate programme (Worked-based learning) Postgraduate programme Microcredenctial course English Enhancement programme Foundation programme This programme is designed to prepare a student for the bachelor’s degree course he/she has intended to pursue. This programme is of 1-year duration and precisely constructed to bring about required skills and knowledge into a student to be promoted to the bachelor programme also by giving the experience of campus life. They provide 2 types of foundation programmes. Foundation in Science, b. Foundation in Arts Undergraduate programme After completing the HSC or A level students enroll themselves in an undergraduate bachelor’s degree. In Bangladesh, the duration of this programme is 4 years. But in Malaysia, most of the courses take 3 years to complete. There are some courses that take about 4 to 5 years in Malaysia. Bachelor term originated from the Latin word baccalaureate to help students develop their quantitative skills in the area they want to master.
