Yes, students can receive counselling online. This option is primarily available for students who live outside Dhaka or are unable to visit our office in person. However, Career Paths recommends one-to-one counselling sessions at our office whenever possible. Students living abroad can book an online counselling appointment at any time.

Yes. Career Paths provides 100% free counselling for students exploring study abroad options, including initial assessment, country and university shortlisting, and an overview of the application process. You only encounter costs tied to university application fees, IELTS/English test fees, and embassy visa fees — never a consultancy fee charged by us for counselling itself.

Career Paths has been operating since 2007, making it one of the more established student consultancy firms in Bangladesh. Our counsellors are British Council certified, and we are authorised representatives for universities across the UK, USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Malaysia, and other partner countries.

No consultancy can ethically guarantee visa approval, because the final decision always rests with the embassy or immigration authority, not the consultancy. What Career Paths can guarantee is a thoroughly prepared, double-checked file, accurate guidance based on your specific academic and financial profile, and honest feedback if your current profile is unlikely to succeed — rather than taking your money and hoping for the best. Be cautious of any consultancy that promises a “guaranteed visa,” as that is widely considered a red flag in this industry.

Yes. We offer airport pick-up support and help you find accommodation after arrival, so you’re not navigating a new country entirely alone on day one.

Yes, if you run into difficulty finding one yourself, we offer guidance and support to help you secure part-time work to help cover living expenses, where local visa rules permit part-time work.

University & Course Selection

Our counsellors carefully assess your academic background (SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level, or Bachelor’s results), budget, English proficiency, and career goals before recommending suitable universities and programs. As an authorised representative of many top-ranked universities worldwide, we understand university admission requirements and application processes, helping you select institutions and courses that best match your profile and maximise your chances of admission.

Requirements vary by destination and program level. As a general guide: undergraduate applicants typically need SSC/HSC, O/A-Level, or equivalent qualifications with competitive grades, while postgraduate applicants need a recognised bachelor’s degree. For university-specific requirements, visit our Country Pages or contact us.

For certain partner universities and countries, yes. Career Paths can issue an offer letter and complete the primary admission steps on the same day through on-spot processing. This isn’t available for every university or country, since some institutions require longer document review. Your counsellor will tell you upfront whether your target university qualifies for same-day processing or needs a standard multi-week timeline.

At minimum: all academic certificates and transcripts, two recommendation letters, your IELTS/TOEFL/PTE certificate, a copy of your passport’s information page, a Statement of Purpose (SOP), your resume, and a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate if applicable. Graduate applicants also need GRE/GMAT scores where required, and most documents must be submitted as A4-size scans. We provide a personalised checklist based on your specific university and country, since exact requirements vary.

Only if you have relevant work experience you want to be considered, or if your target program/visa category specifically asks for proof of employment history. It’s not mandatory for every application. We’ll confirm whether it strengthens or is required for your specific case.

For the UK, it typically takes at least three working weeks to receive a decision once your visa appointment is complete, though we recommend starting your visa application well in advance of your course start date. Processing times vary by country — your Career Paths counsellor will give you a specific timeline estimate for your destination once your university offer is confirmed.

Scholarships & Cost

Yes. We guide students toward merit-based, need-based, and university-specific scholarships across our partner countries and help prepare the documentation those scholarship applications require.

Total cost depends heavily on your destination country, university, and program — tuition for public universities is generally lower than private institutions, and costs vary year to year by university decision. Career Paths’ counselling itself is free; the costs you’ll plan for are university tuition, visa fees, English test fees, and living expenses, all of which we break down for you by country during consultation rather than leaving you to estimate alone.

Requirements vary slightly by country, but generally include a valid passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate and Nikahnama (if applicable), a study plan, bank statement and solvency certificate, your English proficiency certificate, e-Tin copy (where required), proof of source of funds, an Medical Examination (if applicable), and valid NID with previous passport copies. We review every document against your destination country’s specific checklist before anything is submitted to the embassy.

Yes. We run mock interviews that simulate the real embassy environment, covering typical and country-specific questions, along with feedback on delivery, body language, and clarity under pressure. Since interview styles differ by country and change over time, we tailor preparation to your specific destination rather than using one generic script.

Yes — visa rules can change with little notice, and we actively track updates for each destination country so your application reflects the latest requirements rather than outdated information, even if that means adjusting your documents mid-process.

Yes. When your destination country requires translated or notarized documents, we guide you through the courier, translation, and notarization steps needed to meet embassy standards, rather than leaving you to figure out the process alone.

We track your application status and keep you updated throughout the embassy’s review period rather than leaving you to check independently. Processing times vary by country and embassy workload, so your counsellor will give you a realistic timeframe specific to your destination once submission is confirmed.

Based on profile strength, our students have secured tuition scholarships generally ranging from 10% to 50%, occasionally higher. For example, a recent student, Sabrina Sharmin, secured the Great Scholarship worth £10,000 plus an additional £2,000 tuition scholarship. Another student, Ms Faria Ahmed, who got Prestigiousts SI Scholarship to study in Sweden for free. Your specific scholarship potential depends on your academic record, English score, and target university. We assess this honestly during counselling rather than promising a fixed percentage to everyone.

No. Pre-and-post-departure support, including airport pickup, accommodation help, and continued guidance after arrival, is part of the service — we stay reachable mainly by email after you’ve landed, for as long as you need it during your initial settling-in period.

English Proficiency Test

It depends on your destination country, university, and personal preference. IELTS and TOEFL are the most widely accepted for university admission and visa purposes across most countries; PTE offers faster, computer-based automated scoring; Duolingo is increasingly accepted by universities and can be taken from home, though fewer embassies currently recognise it for visa purposes. We help you choose based on which test your specific target university and visa category accepts.

Yes. Our free mock tests simulate the real exam environment so you can build familiarity with the format and reduce exam anxiety before sitting the actual test.
